Wind River
including the East Fork
There are quite a few public access points to the Wind River. Be sure to pick up a current Wyoming fishing
regulations book, or check locally for regs. Fishing on the reservation
is not managed by WG&F. Contact the Wind River Indian Reservation, Fort

on the reservation requires a special permit, available in Lander or Riverton. Check locally for regs

- Go southeast from Dubois on US 26/287 for 10 miles; turn north on East Fork Rd. Access along
road, in part on Spence/Moriarty Wildlife Management area.

- Go south from Thermopolis on US 20 for 4 miles; the Big Horn becomes the Wind River upstream
from Wedding of the Waters; access from road next to river;
special permit needed to fish on Wind River Indian Reservation.
